Alexander Goot

Alexander is an MBA student at the Darden School of Business. He serves as president of the Media, Entertainment and Sports Club, as member of the Humans of Darden board, and as second year coach and tutor.

Prior to Darden, Alex spent more than a decade in television, working behind the scenes at ESPN and Fox Sports, editing video, writing scripts, and leading teams in the studio and in the field. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Yale University and a master’s degree in broadcast journalism from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University. This summer, he completed an internship with the Business Intelligence team at Dell Technologies, and he is particularly interested in how data analysis can drive insight and decision-making.

Alex is eternally grateful for the support from his study teams, Learning Team 28 and his beloved Section B Birds, and from the entire Darden community. In his free time, he enjoys distance running, live music, and time spent with his family.
