What We Do

The McGowan fund has three primary activities. We make grants in five regions across the country, as well as grants that are national in scope. We support and inspire emerging business leaders through the McGowan Fellows Program. And we advance our work and that of other organizations through expert research and analysis.

In our grant making, we focus on three areas: Education, with an emphasis on improving academic achievement, high school graduation rates, and college success; Human Services, with an emphasis on homelessness; and Healthcare, with an eye to providing access to families living without readily available care.
