Important Dates

The McGowan Fund Board of Directors considers grant requests at three board sessions each year. These meetings are held in April, July, and November.

We must receive your Letter of Inquiry (LOI) or proposal by 5 pm on the deadline date to be considered at the corresponding board meeting. In the event that a deadline falls on a weekend or holiday, LOIs and proposals may be submitted by 5 pm on the following business day.

Please note: While letters and applications must be received via the online application system by those deadlines, we encourage you to submit in advance of these dates.

First-time Applicants or Nonprofits Who Have Not Received Funding in the Past Three Years:

Repeat Applicants:

No Letter of Inquiry (LOI) is required if you have received funding within the past three years and still meet our general rules of eligibility. (If funding from the McGowan Fund was received more than three years ago, you must go through the LOI process. Please see above.)
